WOW

Okay, so a few minutes ago, after getting the youngest down for bed (he really put up a fight!!!) my HH told me I have a tough job. Ladies, we know this. We know that what we do is difficult and most of the time because we are dealing with 2 year-olds with 20 year-old attitudes it can be a thank-less job in many ways. Don't get me wrong, I am not complaining. I love my job and feel very blessed to have a husband that lets me choose to stay home and raise my babies and never complains about my lack of income. That is not what this post is about. It is about having a rough week and needing to vent and hearing "to deal with it" and that it "isn't that bad" (the 2 year-old attitude and my frustration over it) and then having someone show compassion and tell you that they know what you do is tough. My response when he said this was "thank you and that there are many days that I wish for a commute and a lunch break". Am I the only one who wishes for those luxuries? Am I the only one that sees those as "luxuries"? I am guessing that I am not alone. Only two days a week does HH get to see Little Man because he leaves before LM gets up and gets home usually much later than LM goes to bed. That means that 5 days a week I am a one-woman show with both of them and he gets home to tell the oldest good night and have some cuddles. I try so hard to not complain about his hours or stress to him that I really wish he was home more because I know he doesn't choose to be away from us. He would love to see his kids everyday and to help me more, but that is just part of our lives right now... long days for both of us at our "jobs". He told me that he would not want to do my job and I found this funny because earlier in the week I was tempted to trade in my SAHMommy hat for a WAWMommy (work at work mommy) hat and let someone else that is not so emotionally attached to our children deal with the attitude. This is by far the hardest job I have ever had and I believe it is for one reason alone. That reason being that I love these babies more than anything in this world (next to HH, of course) and having that much emotion attached to your "job" puts so much pressure on you to not make any mistakes. We all know that we make mistakes everyday, I just hope that mine do not damage my little ones in anyway! I only want to do what is good and right for them to become Christ-loving, respectable and responsible adults.

This is a shout-out to all of my mommy at work and mommy at home friends. Ladies, I admire each of you so much in so many ways. I am blessed to know each of you and be able to learn from each of you! You have all taught me so much about being a mommy, wife, friend, daughter, and many other hats that I wear. I just want to make sure that each of you know that I know what you do is difficult! Whether you get up and go to work or get up at work, you do a great job and I am thankful for you!
