My Progress on Little Bit's Baby Bedding!!
I spent last Saturday, from about 11:30 a.m. until about 5 p.m. working on Little Bit's quilt. Here is the progress. I took pics as I went along.

I hope to finish this weekend. :) Fingers crossed!
Toes in the pic. LOL----

Little Bit's First Interaction!
Well, we went back to the doctor on 10/22 and yes, she is a girl. She weighed 12 oz. I just can't wait!!
Yesterday was the first time that she has interacted with me. Usually when she kicks me I will press on my belly to try to make her kick again, but she never had. Well, yesterday morning, she woke me up kicking me and I reached down and pushed and low and behold, she kicked me back!! It was awesome!
My hubby swares she doesn't like it when I push on her and I just tell him that she is playing with her Mommy! :) LOL He thinks the whole belly moves and I can feel her and she is growing inside of me thing is all weird! He wants to wait to talk to her and feel her until she is here in the flesh and he can hold her. :)
They gave me new pics, but they weren't that great, so instead I am going to post some of the beginning of her baby quilt. Stay tuned! :)

Trip to Texas - 2 weeks ago!!

Yes, I know.... I am not good at posting very often, but I promise I always think of things to post, I just need to make it a habit to actually do it!! :)
Here are some pics from my trip to Texas. I had a great time seeing my family and friends. I even got to go to the Bull Blast- kinda like a mini rodeo in my small town. Mexican food and Shipley's donuts were one of the many highlights of my trip. Also, my Mom made the most adorable baby stuff for Little Bit. Yeah, can't wait!!

My New Project

So, you will probably think I am nuts, cause I am... but I have decided to make my babies room set, from the quilt to the dust ruffle to the diaper stacker and some throw pillows, wall hangings, etc. because the set I wanted was extremely outrageous. I spent 9 1/2 hours on Saturday looking for similar fabric and another couple of hours on Sunday online shopping for fabric and have come up with quite an array of projects. It will probably take me until 6 mos. after she arrives to finish, but I am going to give it a good go!
I am leaving for Texas on Thurday, returning on Sunday, and by mid-week next week, all my fabric should arrive and I will have a project to start on next weekend. This will be my "spare time" project. Ha ha! If my mom was closer, we would be done in about a day and a half, so I may have to fly her out in March if I am not done. :)
Will keep you updated. Have attached pictures of the desired ending. We will compare at a later date. LOL
Have a wonderful week.
Much love

Meet Little Bit...

Well hello!
Vince and I got to go see our acrobat again tonight and boy was she moving! She is very active. I took 4 sips of coke before our appointment and what usually takes 15 minutes took almost 45 minutes because she just wouldn't hold still long enough to see if she was a he or a she! Finally, after several attempts, the techs said they were pretty sure it is a girl. (They were confident enough that they gave me a "It's a Girl" keychain.) That will be the fifth little girl born into my husband's family and the first born into mine. My sisters both have little boys.
Just in case you can't tell, I am super excited and will probably lay awake thinking about her tonight because now it just feels so real that I just can't hardly stand to wait another 5 months. Whew, that seems like so long from now.
Talk soon!!!

Bama vs. Florida State

Hello All! Welcome to my blog. This is a first for me, so bear with me...BTW- Shea has inspired me to create this blog b/c hers is so darn cute!
Since it is Saturday... my day is all about FOOTBALL... Can you tell?
I am up this Saturday morning in the peace and quiet just enjoying this alone time before the crowd. Today, we will be going to see Bama play Florida State. I have really grown to like (can't quite commit to loving it yet!) football since marrying my handsome husband over 2 years ago. The first football season was rough... he will attest to that, just ask him... but it has gotten to really be a routine for us. This year, I sit on the couch with a book in my hand, watch part of each game with him and read between times of lull... you know, a game where there is NO chance the other team will ever catch up! The first year, I sat on the couch with tears in my eyes b/c it (the quantity of football) was way too much, so this has become a happy medium!
But, this weekend is a special weekend. It is the first time that family has come to visit us and despite the fact that I haven't really cooked in the last 15 weeks, I made some dinner last night and we all had a nice evening. I retired early to bed so the boys could do "boy stuff" like watch "Shooter" and talk about video games and football! I can't cramp their style... you know how it is. Well, I better go find some breakfast and get moving. I will be sure to take some pics at the game so I can share with you another day.
