Vacation in St. Augustine... kinda bizzare, huh?
Last Saturday we ventured off to our old stomping grounds... St. Augustine. We miss that area so much and were so glad to take a few days to get back there. Here are some pics of Daddy and Baby K enjoying the pool at the resort.

After our swim lessons, we ventured out to the pool with the tripletts from across the street. She did very well! She even floated in the big pool all by herself (with me next to her of course) with only her arm floaties on.
Afterward Baby K had some super cute volume going on!
For our anniversary HH sent me this! Baby K and I chowed down for days! We LOVED it! A perfect gift and afternoon snack.
We also hired a sitter and went out on a Murder Mystery Afloat cruise after a yummy dinner at Five Guys. We had a blast and I stayed up until 1 a.m. That doesn't happen very often. ;)
On vacation Baby K woke up from her nap as I was painting my toes and she crawled up next to me to have me paint hers. Cute, huh? I love her chunky little feet.

So much to say, so little time...
I want to start by apologizing to my sweet husband because I should be on my 4th or 5th load of laundry today, but I am only on my second and I am blogging instead of cleaning. I just have so much to get off my chest that I want to clear my head while it is quiet. Quiet doesn't come often these days. Baby K is in her first really bad week of teething (she woke up very messy- to avoid being graphic) last Tuesday and we have had bad days ever since. When I say bad, I just mean she pretty much cries all day and we have a super hard time getting her to sleep at all during the day and evenings are hit or miss. She is cutting her eye-teeth. Is that how I say/spell it?? The really sharp, pointy teeth in the front. I broke down and sent HH to CVS yesterday because I couldn't locate the teething tablets at Wal-mart last week and he was our knight in shining armor when he walked through the front door yesterday, completely drenched, holding teething tablets in a shiny CVS bag. Thank you HH, you are the best husband and daddy two girls could ask for!
That brings me to my next point.... WE ARE HAVING A BABY BOY in December! We found out last Wednesday and are excited and up for the challenge and I just hope and pray that he is very much like his daddy. I would love to have another zen body around this house to level out Baby K and my energy. :) I am so anxious to see what he will look like and what his personality will be like. All the unknowns!!! If you want to know the new baby's name, just email me. It hasn't really sunk in completely yet, but I am sure it will all be wonderful learning to care for a boy and having a big sister to help!
In the midst of all of the teething, we have had swim lessons. My child hates the water this year if it means you are going to restrict her and keep her safe, so this was a must in my eyes, but up until today, she has cried through every lesson. Today she took an hour and a half nap prior to swim lessons, we were 10 min. late, but she only cried when she was "bobbed" in the water, a.k.a. dunked! I think she did phenomenal considering I was completely submerging her on the count of 3 over and over.
Now, with these trials have come many cuddles. She just wants to lay on HH and I's laps and watch Tigger and Pooh and Barney all day while she munches on crunchy cereal. The laying on momma has been nice as she usually is not very cuddly. So, out of her pain has come some really sweet mommy-daughter and daddy-daughter times of consoling our sweet little girl.
We had company the better part of the last two weeks and I am so grateful for their tolerance of me, being tired and hot and pregnant (and maybe moody LOL) and for Baby K being a bit fussy and discontent at times (or most of the last two weeks LOL). We are quite a pair, mommy and baby, and we really appreciate you all accepting us just the way we are! We loved having you all, come back and see us soon!!!!!
Okay, another random thought. It just hit me this weekend when I was talking to mom about the day Baby K was born that I will have to endure labor again. Oh my! What was I thinking??? LOL I know 10 minutes after it was over and I was holding my baby girl that I told HH that it was worth it and I think I could do that again, but I am remembering the 10 minutes before I held her and like I said, OH MY! Well, I guess I will do what I did the whole time I was pregnant with her, live in denial. Yep, that's right. I skipped all prenatal classes and just relied on the doctors to get me through. I told them we would have no talk of the size of the epidural needle and that when the doctor entered the room, he better hide the syringe or we would have a problem. They all complied and the doctor (and my sweet nurse and mother and my husband who cheered me on from the couch) all got me through it. I am hoping we can be as successful again. Okay, not going to think about it anymore. Yeah right, I will keep telling myself that. :)
Okay, I better run back up and move our loads and loads of laundry as I am WAY behind. :)
Our love to all!
K
