Last night...

Okay, so the last two evenings I have watched a precious 3-year old that has been a bit of a challenge. She is a sweet little girl that just needs some love and guidance and if the Lord has it in store for me to watch her more, I am going to take the challenge on and work hard to help her in her discovery of life and interaction. She needs some real, down and dirty love from someone who will show her some attention. It is very challenging to say the least, and leaves me completely exhausted from trying to get her attention and have her listen, but I do see immediate results when I am persistent. Whew... with that being said, let me tell you about last night... ;)

So I picked the little girl up at 5:15 p.m. yesterday and came home to my hubby and Little Bit (he had gotten home at 5 so I could leave Little Bit with him and not drag her out- she hates her car seat!!! screams!!!). Talked with "D" (child- 3 years) and gave her some water on her pallet in the kitchen and then took her upstairs and we started Cinderella and practiced naming all of our body parts. Then it was time for Little Bit's bath. I sternly instructed "D" to stay on the couch-- do not get off-- until I get back. Well, she stayed for about 10 min. and then wanted to help me with Little Bit's bath. Instead I let her sit on the commode lid and watch my baby play in her bath. We then went into the nursery and she sat in the rocker, i.e. "the big girl chair" until Little Bit was dressed, lotioned and diapered. My baby loves her farm animal toy- she smiles and coos at it while I dress her, so we, "D" and I named the animals. By now it is about 6:30. I ask my hubby if I can go with my friends to a softball game (all the church guys play on Friday nights) and he said yes, so I got the babies bottle ready, moved the laundry, got myself presentable- yes, I hadn't even fixed my hair, so ponytail had to do... by now it is 6:40. I grabbed my purse as the knock came at the door. I answered to find "D"'s Dad and quickly grabbed her bag and shoes and put them at the front door... I ran to the ladies room (don't want to have to visit the one at the park... yuck!!) and heard the next knock.... it was my ride. I quickly fixed the two of us a small caramel iced coffee and said "Okay honey, I'm gone. Love you!!: It is now 6:50... we were on our way.

Fast forward- game went into like triple overtime because they kept tying the game up, so it was about 8:45 when I walked in the house and heard, "wah, wah"... actually it was more like "AHHHHHHHHHHHHH, AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" literally an ear-piercing screach that when I first hear it made me jump in fear as if someone had just walked up behind me and scared me. My poor hubby said that she had been doing that since 7:15 (she is usually fast asleep in bed by 7:00 and doesn't wake but maybe once until 6:40 a.m.- so this was NOT NORMAL and I wouldn't have left if I ever thought this was going to happen) and he had tried everything. She had finally eaten about 4 oz. so I, not knowing what else to do (holding another bath in reserve as that always calms her) took her for a walk. No stroller, this was Mommy hold me time! I have to admit, hearing her little runny nose snort her tears back when I held her as we walked was one of the sweetest times I have had as a Mom. So, by now it is 9:00 and it is dark and I am walking with my baby and see some neighbors (we know NONE of our neighbors) and this girl runs out and introduces herself and TAKES MY BABY!!! Well, Little Bit was okay for about 3 minutes and then she wanted her Mommy again. (That was the best part of the story! :) ) LOL It made me feel very loved to know she knows me and prefers me. Well, we walked for a while and when we returned home Daddy was waiting for us on the front porch. He was very relieved to see a non-crying child. I took her upstairs and layed her in her crib and she smiled and cooed at me for a few minutes and I rolled her over and gave her the paci and she was out until 7:00 this morning. Praise you Lord! Thank you for it not being an all night show! Thank you for the rest. Thank you for the precious little girl you gave me. She is more than I could've ever known to ask for. Thank you for her smiles (a.k.a. my paychecks). I am so thankful that I have one more person in my life to love on! PRAISE GOD!

Needless to say I don't think I will be allowed to leave again for a very long time!!! Sorry girls!

Good Morning All!!

Hello to all our loved friends and family. Please know that each of you get prayed for each night and we thank God for all of your support and help! You are each worth your weight in gold to us! Okay, enough sentiment! :)

Praise God she is sleeping! She has gone 5 nights pretty much sleeping from 7ish to 7ish with wanting nothing more than her paci one time a night. Last night she slept (without waking for paci) from 8 to 6:15. I am one happy, rested mom today. A little over a week ago I was waking up with her about 8 times a night (approx. every 1 1/2 hours). I was crying at the drop of a hat from sheer exhaustion and decided it was okay to let her cry a little more at a time each night until she wore herself out. We did 3 nights of 10 min. at a time and 1 night of 15 min. and she decided sleeping was better than crying. :)

These are Little Bits favorite new toys. She is ready to sit and stand but still needs some assistance.

Women of Faith- one word AMAZING!

Okay, this past weekend my sweet husband kept our bundle of joy Friday night and all day Saturday so I could attend Women of Faith locally. I am SO thankful to have been able to be there. It was my second year and I urge EVERY WOMAN in the world to experience this as often as possible! It will convict you while rejuvenating you and make you cry while you laugh out loud. It is always the good WITH the bad!

I did however miss Anita Renfroe so much this year. SOOOO.... I am posting some of her clips b/c I had to go watch them to get my dose of her!

Also, props to Nicole C. Mullen and her kids! They were so amazing. I know the Lord was glorified by her ministry! I was truly blessed - hence the song change! :)

My love to all... enjoy!

In response to the Mom song... the Dad song...

My Mom and Brother are in town this week. They could not wait for her to wake up this morning to play. My Bro is completely in love. He loves babies so much. She likes him alot too!!! Well, gotta run, she is waking up. Much love to all!!!

This is her favorite toy!!! It sings farm songs and she talks to it.

Sleeping is good stuff

So, last night I decided to try an early bedtime for bug. I fed her at 7:30 and put her to bed at 7:45. She slept until 4:45 this morning and then was back in her crib at 5:05. I had to wake her up this morning. She didn't want to get up! Here was her response to my singing.... LOL

Here is my Little Bit in her camo outfit from Mrs. Rachel. We took a stroll to the pool and she caught a little catnap.
Mimi, look how long I have gotten... my little toes were almost sticking out from under my long pink gown...

Yeah! My little one rolled over today twice...

I missed it both times, but two ladies at the Physical Therapy office saw and I kept missing it. I rolled her back over to see her do it a 3rd time and she must've known I wanted to see and would not perform for me. Maybe tomorrow! :)

Happy Wednesday to all!

Spoiled Rotten

They didn't have "Spoiled by Mimi and Nanny." :) I love my grandmas!

This is a pic of me napping for the first time in a week. My Mommy and Daddy were so proud of me and thankful for the downtime while I slept. (look at my chubby little arm- so precious)

Swimsuit Model

Yes, I was an unhappy swimsuit model. I am just so tired. My mom has not LET me take a nap since Sunday. LOL Yeah, she keeps saying she wants me to sleep, but I know she is just kidding so I do my best to stay awake and keep her company. I would hate for her to get sad while Daddy is at work.
