Hello All! Welcome to my blog. This is a first for me, so bear with me...BTW- Shea has inspired me to create this blog b/c hers is so darn cute!
Since it is Saturday... my day is all about FOOTBALL... Can you tell?
I am up this Saturday morning in the peace and quiet just enjoying this alone time before the crowd. Today, we will be going to see Bama play Florida State. I have really grown to like (can't quite commit to loving it yet!) football since marrying my handsome husband over 2 years ago. The first football season was rough... he will attest to that, just ask him... but it has gotten to really be a routine for us. This year, I sit on the couch with a book in my hand, watch part of each game with him and read between times of lull... you know, a game where there is NO chance the other team will ever catch up! The first year, I sat on the couch with tears in my eyes b/c it (the quantity of football) was way too much, so this has become a happy medium!
But, this weekend is a special weekend. It is the first time that family has come to visit us and despite the fact that I haven't really cooked in the last 15 weeks, I made some dinner last night and we all had a nice evening. I retired early to bed so the boys could do "boy stuff" like watch "Shooter" and talk about video games and football! I can't cramp their style... you know how it is. Well, I better go find some breakfast and get moving. I will be sure to take some pics at the game so I can share with you another day.
