She is now 6 months old, so we went in for shots today (which by the way, she did very well with... even the Rotateq which she usually spits back at the nurse). The doctor said she looked good but she has lost 5 oz. since last month. Last month she had gained 3 pounds, so that was shocking to us. She is still in the 45% for her weight and she grew 3/4 of an inch, bringing her to 26 3/4 inches. The doctor said her possible teething as well as a head cold could be the cause, to just watch her closely.
I got home and she wouldn't eat more than 4 oz. of her second bottle today so we got out her baby food and I added 2 scoops of formula (equivalent of 4 oz. of bottle) to it and she gobbled it up! She is eating between 4 and 6 oz. of a baby food at a time now, so I guess I will keep promoting that and just add more formula to each meal. I had been adding formula to her cereal in the morning but not to the jarred baby food, but if she isn't going to take in enough via bottle, I guess I will sneak some into her food. By the way, she LOVES fruit. I am so glad because her daddy is not a big fruit eater and she seems to eat whatever I offer her now. She wasn't really interested in her baby food until about 2 weeks ago, but she has become very interested in whatever we are eating. She watches us very carefully.
That's all for today. Oh yeah, her weight was 15 lbs., 4 oz.
