Did I do that? She has gotten very busy and is LOVING her new freedom!
Her 10 month chair pic... it took over 100 shots to get this one... not that great, huh? This one was worth it! This is what she looked like in about 85 of them! Thank you Nanny for this adorable dress! She has already worn it 3 times.
Okay, so let me start here: I am going to let myself believe that we have been jinxed. LOL My daughter is having trouble (my version) keeping her bows in her hair now. She is pulling them out. Oh well, at least I had 9 1/2 mos. of bows. This news comes 2 days after I made her this wall hanging to organize all her bows. Go figure! We will keep perservering though. She will come around again, some how! :) I love this outfit and am in mourning that is is getting too small. Just thought we would have one more pic in it! Oh yeah, and this is my absolutely favorite bow... what could be better than pink with pink polka dots?? Daddy and Little Bit, she was a tad bit sleepy. All smiles! This was at Jason and Lizzie's wedding. Congrats Mr. and Mrs. Small! On the way home from church... she had been up for 6 hours and I was trying to keep her up for 20 more min. until we got home. Didn't happen. I was tickling her, singing to her and shaking a rattle to keep her awake. She passed out anyway! She did go back to sleep when we got home though... bonus! This is my diversion... she goes into the pantry and gets out all the sweet n low packets when I need to get some stuff done in the kitchen.
Well hello! We arrived safely home on Sunday evening and had a busy day planned for Monday. Our little friend Devin was out of school this week and could meet us at the zoo either Monday or Friday and since my handsome hubby might be off on Friday we opted for a playdate on Monday. SO, bright and sunny Monday morning we were off to the zoo... in Jacksonville. What did that mean? It meant a screamer back in the car after a 7 hour car ride on Sunday, but it was WELL WORTH IT!!! She only cried the first hour. LOL We got to see Anna and Devin and had a wonderful, relaxing time looking at the animals. Thank you Anna and Devin for meeting us. We are so glad to have you!
It was also a day of firsts for us. I have posted many pics and videos for you to see! She walked more than 3 steps... 6 to be exact... at a time, has started dancing consistently when she hears music and has turned into such a climber that she will climb and stand up on her chair to reach things. Watch out mom is right! She can get into EVERYTHING!
I am sooo incredibly thankful that God gave us a little girl. She is such a blessing and makes us laugh each day. It is so fun seeing the world through her little eyes. She got her first baby doll around Christmas and I have been rocking it and loving on it and kissing it and when we got home on Sunday night she started kissing it too. She will kiss it and give it back to me and I will kiss it and she will want it back and we just repeat until she is done and moving on to something else.
Also, I was so excited yesterday when she started walking because I was on the phone with daddy and after her third step I started counting. (She has been taking 2 or 3 steps for a couple weeks, but would get wobbly. :) Well, when I got to 6 he asked me what I was counting and when I told him her steps it was even more exciting because he was on his way home and got to see them for himself. She was so glad to show daddy her dancing and walking that we even got it on video for you. Yeah!
We had a great time in Birmingham at Christmas. Thank you to all of our family for always making us so welcome. I will post pics as soon as I get some. I have just a couple on my camera but am requesting that my sis-in-laws and bro-in-laws email me some because I didn't get any of me, daddy and little bit! Ugh! Anyways, will post those soon.
Love and miss you all!
Reaching for the Boudreauxs! See mom, I can get it myself!
Devin making his funny smile for us.
Little Bit's first carousel ride. She didn't even need any help. She knew what to do. That was such a wonderful moment!
Practicing holding on before the ride started.
Mrs. Anna and Little Bit with their cool shades on.
So, I have started attempting to get her to eat food that is not in a jar. I have been steaming and mashing up veggies but she will have nothing to do with them. As I have continued to try I have learned something... if she can get dirty while doing it, she will eat them! She tries to get some into her mouth but really just licks her fingers, so I, using my own fingers, have to feed her. She will not take the food from her spoon unless it is from a jar. HOW BIZARRE! At least she is eating it, huh?
Showing off the quilt her Mimi made her for "Baby's First Christmas." It has her name, birth date, weight, height and time on it and on the back it says Baby's First Christmas, Love, Mimi. Thank you Mimi! (click on the picture below and it will come up big and you can really see how adorable it is and can actually read the writing on it!)
As you can see below, we have had some quite warm weather! She was running around in a diaper alone last week. Here she has on a little summer dress because it was 78 degrees outside.
Enjoying her snack...
"Mom, is this how you want me to pose?" LOL Love the puzzled look on her face.
