Lately...

Her new favorite thing to do is go to the mall and "ride" all the rides. She just chants "ride" until you let her out of her stroller. She requires no money (yet) and is entertained by the steering wheels and buttons. What a sweet smile! I will miss this little girl when I am in the hospital, but I know she will be very well cared for! She will probably tell me to leave when I get home. :)

Her Nanny sent her this dress and we love it! She looked like Cindy Lou Hou at church on Sunday. See for yourself.
Proud Daddy!
We have some vistors... she is soooo excited!

So much on the brain today...

Changes, changes, changes are headed our way.

I have been up for quite a while this morning thinking of how calm things are at the moment in our house and how shaken up they are about to be!

It appears that our estimated time of moving will be after mid-February. We are still unsure of where, but have been given a general idea. Both locations are very foreign to the both of us and it will take so much more to get moved this time as we will have two little ones to look after and put first. It is very scary to say the least, but I am trying to keep reminding myself that wherever we end up that God is there and we are not alone and he will protect us and keep us as a family unit through all the stress that is headed our way. Knowing that I have a husband that loves me, a family that supports me from afar and soon to be two sweet children that are gifts from the Lord really helps remind me that He never leaves us and will never forsake us. We are so blessed and when the time comes I have no doubt that He alone will give me the strength to get through whatever he has in store for us.

Adding another little one is so exciting and so overwhelming to think about. I feel like such a failure as a mommy so often because I know that there are so many moms with more patience, energy and domestic abilities than I possess. Now will I feel like that times two? I hope not. I want to do right by my little ones and have them feel loved and cared for everyday of their lives and look back on their childhood and know that they have two parents that love each other and love them more than we could ever express and that they would never doubt that love. I want to be the one that my daughter turns to when she has hard questions and I want to be the one that has a son that is a momma's boy because he was well taken care of- but not too well. LOL He will have to have responsibility of course!

Oh Lord, calm me. I need to give all of this to you and am trying to hold onto it. Take it from me!! I want to spend the next few weeks (or 18 years!) loving on and enjoying my children as this will be such a special time for our family. Please help me to minimize the need for perfection in my life and surround me with people who will help me to realize that perfection is overrated and not worth it and change lifelong habits!

The little one is up, gonna go get my first kisses of the day. Love you all!

Baby Update

I went to the doctor today and am 38 weeks, 1 day. They did an ultrasound to see how much our little one has grown in the last few weeks. He is weighing in between 7 lbs., 12 oz. and 8 lbs., 8 oz. The ultrasound tech estimated that he will actually be between 7 1/2 pounds and 8 lbs., 2 oz. The doctor believes him to be 7 ish pounds right now. I have 10 days until delivery (unless he comes on his own earlier!) so he will likely gain another 1/2 to 1 pound. Good grief, it appears we have a whopper on our hands! The tech said in his face he looks just like Baby K, to which I whole-heartedly agree! The baby has my nose again and it looks like he has Baby K's pouty mouth. It will be so good to meet him next Friday, though I am very sad that Baby K cannot visit us at the hospital for fear of passing around the flu virus. I have only been away from her one other time overnight and it was for 2 nights back in April. It will be sooooo hard! I know she will be well taken care of, but she is my baby and has become very attached lately, in a super-sweet way! She crawled up in my lap today and asked me for a kiss. It was so sweet. She is very snuggly lately and loves to curl up with her daddy and I. We are such a blessed family to have her and to be expecting another little bundle of joy. I have learned in the last 20 months that mothering is the most challenging thing I have ever done, but also the most rewarding. She teaches me so much about Christ's love for all of us and has really taught me how to say I am sorry. I LOVE being her mommy! Thank you Lord for all your blessings!! We love you!

Life is Good farm...

Today Baby K and I went with a group of great ladies and their kiddos to the Life is Good farm in Ellabell. They had goats, chickens, turkeys and pigs as well as Baby K's favorite.... DOGS! Here are just a few pics of the farm and a couple others from the last few weeks. We are sorry for not updating more often. Let's see, between me, Baby K and HH not feeling well, trips to the doc for Little Man and just keeping up with life, I just can't seem to find the time. You know what that means??? I am certain my time will be even less occupied with blogging in 22 days, for good reason, of course! Miss and love you all!

Sweet Pea Tea

I never posted about a shower that 4 really sweet friends threw for Little Man and I a couple of weeks ago. It was soooo much fun!
I don't usually post names, but I had to show off this sign that Liz made!
Gym socks... for newborns? I guess I need to get a membership at the Y. How cute!
My long lost relative...
The sweet hostesses enjoying all their hard work!
Everything was delicious!

Nikki's ideas came together so beautifully!
What a gorgeous setting...
Keri made us a yummy cake that was sooo adorable!
Guest favors (teabag and spoon)
There are real sweet peas in the candle displays.
How funny!
Thank you so much to all involved! I feel so blessed to have so many sweet friends in such a short time. I really appreciate all of you so much!

Just a swingin.

My little angel looked just like her Daddy in the pic above. So sweet! She has his "ice-cream" smile.
