We're Moving!

Hello to all of our readers. Most of you have already heard, but for those of you who haven't, we are moving to the Savannah, GA area. My husband has taken a job on Fort Stewart with a civil construction company. We are excited, nervous and very busy with all the details. That is why I didn't blog last week. Sorry!!! :) I have 2 movers lined up to come and give us estimates today and 2 more for tomorrow and we have so many other things going on related to the move that our heads are spinning.

But, in the midst of all of that, our little girl is continuing to get so big. We are in awe everyday at how much she is changing and understanding and just becoming a little girl instead of our baby. I wish I could freeze time for a while and just enjoy this age before the next new milestone comes along. Since I can't, I will continue to tell her how big she is getting everyday with a smile on my face and giggle with her at her new found mobility (scooting and pushing off) and ability to laugh out loud with me.

Here are a couple of videos from this past week:

Last night trying to get some leg action going

Her famous squeal!

Such a cute smile for Daddy.

Trying to figure out this leg moving thing.

Forgot... we went to the Dr. this week

So, we went to the Dr. again on Tuesday for shots.... not fun! :)

She had a really good time until they poked her and poked her again! She let us all know how much she did not appreciate her time spent at the doctor. She did very well though and had no reactions. Here are her new stats:

Height 26 inches- 90th percentile (same)
Weight 15 lbs., 13 oz.- 75th percentile (up from 45th last month)
Head 42 cm. - 50th percentile (same as last month but up from 5th percentile at birth.)

Her reflux is getting better and we are almost out of medicine, so we may try a couple of days without it when this prescription runs out to see if it is still really bad or if she can stay off meds.

Last but not least, she is learning to get around on her own. For the last week or so she has been moving backwards, but I had not witnessed it, only knew she was not where I put her when I walked away. So, last night my friend Anna was so gracious to watch her while we went to dinner and a movie and right before we left, we saw it! She gets up on her arms like she wants to crawl, but then just pushes backward. She did it 3 times in a row and then when I pulled out the video camera, she only did it one more time! She knew how much I wanted it on video and was teasing me. :)

Have a wonderful rest of your week!

Our trip to the zoo - 8 13 08

I had to dig into my old trip to the zoo file to find this one of the black jaguar. Look closely and you can see his spots. He didn't let me get any good pics of him yesterday.

I am completely fascinated by plants as many of you know! Well, did you know there are entire ecosystems inside the "mouth" (my description) of a bromeliad? Well there is! Tiny animals such as shrimp, frogs and other insects live inside and feed off of the "plant" that springs out of the middle. They hold water and food. How cool is that? Some of them were starting to bloom yesterday and this one was in full bloom.

Devin smiles! (Usually he just says smile instead of actually smiling.) He is so cute.
By lunchtime she was out!

I was also fascinated by the lily pond. They were all so beautiful. I was wishing I could take a couple home!

The giraffes and elephants were my favorite.
My sweet baby girl.

Fabulous Friday!

Good morning to all our readers.

Here is a picture of a pudding box. Yes, I know, you all know what a pudding box looks like. Heck, you probably know what it says too, huh? Well, after 3 years of marriage, this is how my husband proves me wrong. Look closely.

On Wednesday we celebrated our Anniversary and I decided I wanted to make pudding for dessert. As I stood there for 30 min. stirring the pudding, I was informed by my hubby that I would be unable to eat the pudding until it had been refrigerated and was cold. COLD PUDDING?? NO WAY. I eat mine hot! "Hot?" he said. "No, you can't eat pudding hot, it has to be cold." So I showed him the box. He took out the scissors and cut the word "warm" off. Anything to be right? LOL Good times.

I told him to leave the box out because it would definitely be blogged this week!

On another note, Little Bit is getting so big. I took a picture in the shirt her Mimi bought her. Look closely. It says "Williams Creations" and has a cute "washing instruction." It looked so big in her closet but barely went around her tummy.

HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEKEND EVERYONE!

Went and took some pics at Stephanie's today...

Hello! So I really wanted to go and have family pics made when Little Bit started sitting up, but I don't feel like right now is the right time. SOOOOO I decided to get her out of the house early this a.m. and go to my friend Steph's house and take some pics myself before it got too hot. We had about 15 min. in the right light and before it got scorching hot. The pics are actually in reverse, so the first one posted was the last taken. She ended up in my shadow. :( We had a good time at Steph's and finished the morning with a cup of Mrs. Donna's coffee. Thank you Steph and Mrs. Donna!

This one (above) was my favorite!!!

She grins so big every time she sees her praying bear. She is mystified that it talks to her.

This was the first pic taken.... I barely had the camera out and sat the bear in front of her. She grinned so big I wish I had been in front of her, but wasn't prepared! I guess that is why someone else usually takes the pics and the parents make the babies laugh. Not enough hands or time!

What a great weekend!

Hello All!

Wanted to blog about our weekend. I love being a mom so much. It is the best job in the world and I am so thankful that it is my full-time job right now. My heart goes out to working mothers because as much as I miss the sense of accomplishment of a "job well done" I have a job well done each day... or at least to the best of my ability and it is in the form of a sweet baby girl that I would wouldn't trade for anything. She is so precious and I am so glad that the Lord entrusted me with this huge blessing. I couldn't ask for a more perfect child. (But I may ask for more perfect children, meaning more than one! LOL)

Anyway, yesterday morning I got up at 6:15, got dressed and woke Little Bit up at 6:45 fed her dressed her and we were out the door at 7:15 a.m. to go garage saleing (sp?). We had such a good time together. She is getting so big and we found so much good stuff for so cheap. It was a wonderful day. Then, we braved Walmart and Marshalls together- just the two of us and had a fun mother-daughter day. She can sit up in the shopping cart now so it is so much easier because used to she hated her car seat so much that she would scream the whole time she was in it and I couldn't carry her, push the cart and shop at the same time. So this is a huge blessing and is such a fun age. She is wanting to crawl, but gets up on her arms and can't figure out how to get on her knees, so she just wiggles on her belly. It is the funniest thing. She even makes noise while she does it. I can't help but giggle with her.

Here are two pics of all our loot from a garage sale yesterday... I only spent $25.00 on all this stuff... amazing!

So here is the breakdown... best of my knowledge.
Leapfrog Purple worm- 19.99
Peek a boo Sesame street toy 15.99
Tickle me Big Bird ?? 15.99 (discontinued)
Squishy crackly chew book ?? 5.99
Karaoke by Fisher Price 19.99
Cell phone 5.99
Smart vtech butterfly 14.99
vtech Phonics radio 15.99
Crab 3.50 (part of a set)
Manhattan toy winkle (ball with all the loops on it) 13.99 (can you believe that?? crazy)
Spin top 13.99
Move and Crawl Ball 12.99
Rhyme and Discover book 12.99
Pull and Play phone 16.99
Disney Lights Phone 19.99
Snack Traps 3.99 x 2 = 7.98
Basket 19.99
Ice trays .50
Water bottle with insulator 2.50?
Total Value= $240.00 for $25.00!!!!!

It think that was a great deal! :) Little Bit was pretty stoked too!

P.S. Last weekend we went garage saleing too and we bought:
Turtle that retails for 36.99 for $8
Sassy crib mirror that retails for 13.99 for $2
Aquarium crib toy that retails for 99.99 for $5
Total value: $150.97 for $15.00

That means last weekend and this weekend combined I only paid 10% or less of the value of each toy! CRAZY!!!! I am going to have one spoiled baby at this rate!
